CG this week: 11th September 2009

Wow, it's been superdupertruper long since we last saw something new on this blog :) Hopefully this is the start of many many more posts! We've been having so many holidays lately, it's great that we can finally have CG again this week, although we'll be going on holiday AGAIN next week. Hehe.

This week, we are privileged to have Swee Kit with us! For those of you who have never met her, Swee Kit is our new FES staff worker. We are very glad that she is kind enough to take time off to share with us :) So, hope to see all of you there this week!

Mind over matter?

Has your/ Is your computer working helplessly slow? lagging every now and then? popping up weird errors? or jammed up again? (*knock*kick*) and again?

 
I am no computer expert. But in normal instances, I think people usually "REBOOT" (restart) their computer, don't they?

Hey, people, I am super swamped this week so just a very short update :)

We will be having movie night this week!

Bible Study in KT: Assurance of Salvation

Hi people!

We had a great time last weekend on Appreciation day and it was all due to everyone's hard work and effort :) Congratulations to all budding chefs, because the dinner that day was simply amazing! Will post up pictures as soon as I have the spare time. Thank You to Dr. Isaac for being our fantabulous photographer for the event!

This Friday, CG will be at the same time, same place and we will be starting a new Bible Study course on Assurance. The topic for this week is Assurance of Salvation. If possible, please read 1 John5:11-12 and try to memorize it as it is our key verse for the Bible Study session. Hope to see you all there and please remember to be punctual and bring your Bibles! Do keep our song leader, musicians and LCD person in prayer. God bless and have a good week!

CG Appreciation Day

Hey people!

I know, I know. It's been a super long time since we last updated this blog on CG events in KT. The last update was in November 2008 and we are now already almost halfway thru February 2009. Hehe. Please excuse this delay as we have all been busy with finals and recently, trying to adjust to new postings: Surgery, Orthopaedics and Obstetrics & Gynaecology. 

Anyways, we praise and thank God for bringing us thru the year 2008 and our first semester here in KT. We are really looking forward to the juniors joining us very very soon in July! Yay! 

This week, we will be having a special occasion at CG. No, no, we are not celebrating Valentine's Day, but in conjunction with it, we are having CG APPRECIATION DAY! What is CG APPRECIATION DAY? Well, it is a day where we all get together and just love and appreciate one another and have a good time of fellowship and feilo-ship with each other :D 

In this one week leading up to APPRECIATION DAY, angels please do not forget to pamper and love your mortals! Also, all 3 groups please do not forget that you are supposed to prepare 3 dishes and 1 dessert each! Do let May Vern know what dishes you are preparing ASAP so that every group does not turn up with the same dish :)

This week will also be having a short time of prayer, so please come with hearts prepared to pray for our nation, our families, our churches, our community, our university and each other. Juniors, we know that your final exam is coming up and we will definitely keep you guys in prayer. We know how its like because we have been through it, and we know how stressful and discouraging the whole process can be, but let us trust in our Saviour and Redeemer, who by His grace will bring all of you through!

So, let's get together this Friday (13th of February 2009) to say:

to each other and how much we appreciate one another as brothers and sisters in Christ!

Outing update

In case you're still wondering the connection between the two pictures in the previous post (hmm... pretty slow huh?), our MedicCG (Cheras) outing was held in Taman Pertanian Malaysia, Shah Alam.

We went cycling through the entire park (some of us who preferred not to cycle went touring the park by bus: Akita, E Wei, Pik Yuen) while stopping by at some places of attraction which included the Animal Park and the Four Seasons House:

We braved through the -2 to -7 degrees Celcius temperature in short pants and T-shirts. Almost went hypothermic.

Cycled like mad through the hills and valleys to reach the serene Sungai Baru dam.

It was a free and easy outing with the objective to de-stress and get to know our juniors better, and we did!
